Clean or replace?

Not every tile line needs new tile

Calcium scale can often be removed with glass bead blasting on our tile cleaning service. Cracked, loose, missing or badly etched tile needs repair or replacement.

Tile cleaning is usually enough when…

  • The tile is sound but covered in white calcium scale
  • Grout lines are intact
  • You like the tile you have
  • The buildup is on stone, spillways or water features

Repair or replacement makes sense when…

  • Tiles are cracked, loose, hollow-sounding or missing
  • Grout is crumbling or the tile line leaks
  • Tile is badly etched or out of date
  • You're replastering and want a new look anyway

Questions

Pool tile questions

Do you replace pool tile without draining the whole pool?

Waterline tile work may need only a lowered water level. The tile condition and repair scope determine whether draining is needed; we discuss that before work begins.

Can you match my existing tile?

We'll try. Older tiles are often discontinued, so for larger repairs a full new tile line can look better than a patch. We'll show you options.

Do you replace coping too?

Yes. We replace coping stones and deck edges, often together with new tile or plaster.

Do you install depth markers for commercial pools?

Yes. We install depth markers and no-diving tile for HOA, apartment and community pools. Commercial work may need Southern Nevada Health District approval, and we'll tell you up front.

Can the white buildup just be cleaned off?

Often it can. If the tile is sound, our tile cleaning service with glass bead blasting removes calcium scale. We'll tell you which one your pool needs.
